We think we've created a pretty great space for celebrating Cinco de Mayo and we're convinced that we've created a stellar beer for the occasion. We release Frank with Lime today and for this day only (maybe) we're makin' Micheladas! Frank is our Mexican Lager and this time, we added the lime for you. It pairs perfectly with the newest pixxa, a deconstructed Chile Relleno, from @panconqueso.

Our Mexican Lager started as a standard German Pilsner but we tweaked it just a bit to make it truly unique. We used our Haus pilsner malt which accounts for about 80% of the grain bill, then threw in a few bags of flaked corn and one bag of Vienna malt. This creates a light and slightly sweet mouthfeel. We used a blend of classic and new wave German grown hops like Hallertau Mittlefruh and Mandarina Bavaria to add otherwordly aromatic quality. The results of these additions provide orange peel and slightly herbal aromatics. This beer is sharp, dry, and full of citrus character and we can't wait to share it with you.

Frank Rossello was a generous and fun loving human being who raised two boys with his wife Deborah in Sylmar, CA. He loved teaching his sons, along with his nieces and nephews, about sports, music, and inside jokes. He had the best laugh and it was contagious. Cheers to tio Frank.
